Short Description

Full Description

Duplicate Poker is a twist on poker. You play against people sitting at other tables holding the exact same hand as you. This is certified as a game of skill and is offered in no limit and pot limit only. The idea is that every table has the same cards dealt and you have to try to get the most chips out of the hand, or lose the least and get ahead of your competition. Later, as people are eliminated, they combine tables. The graphics are good and this game is starting to catch on.

If you are entering a tournament of 8 players in Duplicate poker than the players are divided into 2 tables of 4 players each. The same exact cards are dealt in both tables. The player sitting at the same exact position as yours at the opposite table is the one you need to beat, so theoretically speaking although you are playing regular poker you might win a certain session of hands although you had lost in all hands played. This is due to the fact that you had played better then the player sitting at the same position as yours at the opposite table. Players are eliminated from the game based on the comparison of their net total chips won or lost with the amounts won or lost by other players in the same seat position.

Duplicate Poker accepts all major credit cards. It is 100% legal. American players are welcome and can deposit using their credit cards.

It is considered a game of skill rather than a game of luck, as you are winning if you had played better than other players dealt with the same cards as yours.

A few questions and answers about Duplicate Poker:

Does Duplicate Poker accept American players?

Yes, Duplicate Poker accepts American players.

How can one deposit to Duplicate Poker account in real money mode?

All usual payment methods work with Duplicate Poker. However, please note that Duplicate poker accepts deposits via US credit cards as well which is something you will not encounter in other Poker rooms.

Why is Duplicate Poker considered a game of skill rather than a game of chance? Why are credit card deposits accepted here and not in other Online Poker Rooms?

Although at Duplicate Poker players do play poker as in regular poker rooms, here the objective of the game is to play better than your opponent which is sitting at another table with the same number of players as you do and receiving the same exact cards you are receiving. Therefore although you are being dealt with random cards Duplicate Poker is regarded as a game of skill rather than a game of chance. This is why credit card deposits are allowed in Duplicate Poker and the game is 100% legal to all players, even player located in the United States.

Here are a few terms being used in Duplicate Poker. I had constructed a list of them so that you will be able to better understand the game:

Session - A Session in Duplicate Poker is the term used to describe one or more game deals.

HC - Hand Chips - The number of chips you are currently holding in your hand. After each game deal the HC count is reset to its initial value.

NTC - Net Total Score - The total number of chips you had won (NTC+) or lost (NTC-) in a session.

Software and Graphics

The software is user-friendly, full of nice graphics, and is quite solid in performance. Easy to find a game quickly and it has some options like hand history and four color decks. You can detach the chat but because this is a different style of poker, a lot of usual stats are not required. For a new variation, this software does it proud.
